In 1961 curling began at Cataraqui. The six sheet curling facility opened to rave reviews and continues to provide one of the finest curling facilities in Canada to its membership. The top provincial curling events have a long history curling at Cataraqui including the Scott Provincial Women's Championships, The Men's Provincial Championships and the Ontario Curling Tour Championships. Teams from Cataraqui Golf and Country Club have represented the province of Ontario at both The Brier and the Canadian Mixed Championships. We are proud to offer one of the finest and most active curling facilities you will encounter. Our curling ice is expertly maintained by our Ice team led by Gary Cound and has seen many recent improvements. This past summer a new chiller was installed. Our many recent improvments are designed to give our members the best curling conditions in Canada! Curling is a social sport - on and off the ice. It offers a great opportunity to meet friends and make new ones. The curling season at Cataraqui begins in early October with league games beginning October 19th. It's the perfect winter ice-breaker. Give it a shot!
